Admission Process & Guidelines

Intermediate Program

Selection Criteria

The following conditions apply for admission to Intermediate programs in all public sector colleges in Punjab:

  • Separate Application Forms: Students must submit specific admission forms for Science, Arts, General Science, I.C.S, and I.Com programs
  • Sports Quota: Available only for F.A. (2-year program)
  • Disability Quota: 2% seats reserved for students with disabilities in F.A./F.Sc. classes
  • Disability Certificate: Required from competent institutions for disability quota admission
  • Foreign Candidates: Must apply through their Embassy/Consulate/High Commission to Federal Ministry of Education, Islamabad

Required Documents

Upon placement on the Merit List, bring original documents with photocopies:

  • Matric Result Card - 2 Photocopies
  • Photographs (blue background, 1.5 x 1.5 size) - 4 Photos
  • Character Certificate - 2 Photocopies
  • Attested photocopy of Father's/Guardian's CNIC - 1 Copy
  • Attested copy of applicant's CNIC/B Form - 1 Copy
  • Original NOC (if Matric from non-Lahore Board) - 2 Photocopies

Important Admission Notes

  • Merit-based Admission: All admissions are purely on merit basis
  • Parent Responsibility: Parents are responsible for any illegal dealings with college officials
  • Cancellation of Mistakes: Admissions made due to clerical errors will be cancelled
  • Conduct Requirement: Any candidate with unbecoming conduct may have their application turned down
  • 2nd Shift Classes: Follow Government Rules and procedures

O-Level & Senior Cambridge Students

  • 4% seats are reserved for Senior Cambridge/O-Level students
  • Must provide detailed course information and equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen
  • Submit Senior Cambridge Certificate to college office immediately after exam results
  • Must clear all subjects at Senior Cambridge/O-Level
  • F.Sc. aspirants must have studied science at Senior 1 Cambridge/O-Level

Undergraduate Program (BS FYDP)

Academic Session: Starts in October and concludes in June every year as per college calendar. Admission schedule is advertised in leading newspapers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification: F.A., F.Sc., A Level, or Senior Cambridge students are eligible
  • Subject Requirement: Must have studied the subject at intermediate level as a major subject
  • Exception: Can apply for subjects not offered at intermediate level (Science subjects excluded)
  • Special Test: English Literature and Fine Arts aspirants must qualify an aptitude test (secondary school standard)
  • Minimum Marks: Must achieve at least 60% marks in F.A./F.Sc. while clearing all subjects
  • Age Limit: Must not be more than 22 years old on the last date of form submission

Reserved Seats

  • Disability Quota: 2% seats reserved for disabled and handicapped applicants
  • Application Marking: Specified category forms must be marked with red ink
  • Foreign Candidates: Must send applications through Embassy/Consulate/High Commission to Federal Ministry of Education

Application Process

  • Form & Prospectus: Obtain from Bank of Punjab
  • Deadline: No admission form accepted after the due date
  • Merit List: Selected candidates list displayed on college Notice Board
  • Payment: Selected candidates must pay admission dues by notified dates (failure results in cancellation)

Documents for Application Submission

  • Character Certificate from last attended institution - 1 Copy
  • Original Migration Certificate (if from non-Lahore Board)
  • Student's B-Form - 1 Copy
  • Matric Certificate - 1 Copy
  • F.A./F.Sc. Result Card - 1 Copy Each

Documents Required After Application Approval

  • Student's B-Form - 4 Copies
  • Matric Certificate - 4 Copies
  • F.A./F.Sc. Certificate - 4 Copies
  • Father's/Guardian's ID Card - 4 Copies
  • Student's ID Card - 4 Copies
Note: Migration from other universities is not allowed. All concerned departments will be responsible for admission processing.
